DO YOU KNOW A GREAT DAD? Tell Us About Him!
On behalf of Ghana Fatherhood Initiative Foundation (GFIF), we want to invite you to participation in 1st Annual Father’s Recognition Award Ceremony 2011. We want you to nominate fathers to receive recognition on this day. This powerful event will spotlight men from across the country that exemplifies model fatherhood behaviors. The 1st Ever Father’s Recognition Award Ceremony 2011 will take place at venue to be known later in the year in December 2011.
Why a "Favorite Fathers" program? Fathers are the foundation of strong families. COUNTING YOUR BLESSINGS:- 6+4 = 10, 8+5 = 12, 9+7 = 16.
WHEN YOU LOOK AT the three sets of addition problems above, what do you see? Now answer honestly.Do you see two that are accurate and one that is inaccurate?Do you see the way most of us are trained to see? "THERE IS ONE THAT'S WRONG!" Most of us look at these three addition problems and see only one thing: the one that is wrong.
Just as when you read newspapers, what is the focus? You read about bombings, murders, rapes, droughts, assassinations, fires, wars;about exposing graft, corruption, dishonesty, immorality and character flaws in our leaders.
For the most part, our society focuses on what is negative and we are subconsciously trained to think this way.WE DISCOUNT THE POSITIVE AND DWELL ON THE NEGATIVE.

LOOKING FOR MEDIA SUPPORT
LOOKING FOR MEDIA SUPPORT
2011: Year of Responsible Men Campaign
Dear Potential Media Supporter :
Re: Seeking Media Sponsorship for the 2011: Year of Responsible Men Campaign
In 2011 Fathers Incorporated in partnership with President Obama’s White House administration, honorary board, partners, including Ghana Fatherhood Initiative Foundation(GFIF) and sponsors will honor 2011 as The Year of Responsible Men. This high level recognition is designed to assist in targeting the need to encourage and support responsible fatherhood and mentoring. Currently we are in the planning stages of a year-long campaign called “Ties Never Broken.” The campaign is designed through these two major efforts:
2011: The Year of Responsible Men. This is an umbrella cause marketing concept that allows for us to partner with national organizations, including Ghana Fatherhood Initiative Foundation(GFIF) in the hopes of creating viral messages around the importance of being responsible men and mentors. Currently we have more than 25 agencies who have signed memorandum of understandings with FI to engage in programs and projects throughout 2011.
“Ties Never Broken (Blue Bow Tie),” is the theme and icon that embodies the need of addressing fatherlessness and mentoring. The term speaks to the all too real connection between a child and their biological father. Estranged, deployed, deceased or otherwise, there is a tie/connection that is never broken between parents and their children. The blue bow tie icon will be established as a symbol to expresses this reality.
In connection with these two efforts we have amassed an honorary board of national icons, civic leaders and social activist to serve as the motivators, supporters and leaders of this campaign.
To accomplish these goals we NEED MEDIA SUPPORTORS of the cause! Media partners such as yours who can help lead this effort by example, engagement and support. We’re not asking for much. You are NOT obligated to air or print anything (Although it would be appreciated). Our goal is simple to show the public that media is just a concerned about our core issues of fatherhood, mentoring and family as they are.
In addition on January 14th in New York City Fathers Incorporated will host a dinner to launch our partnership with the White House, a network of private, public and corporate partners and a high profile honorary board. The night will see five national awardees receive recognition for their work in the field of responsible fatherhood and mentoring; including John Amos; most recognized for his role as James Evans in the television show, “Good Times,” and Geoffrey Canada; CEO of the Harlem Children Zone and a subject of the critically acclaimed documentary "Waiting for Superma". There will also be several BLOCKBUSTER announcements regarding partnerships, events and initiatives for the 2011: Year of Responsible Men campaign. In addition; the announcement of our National Chairman and Spokesperson will be made by Joshua Dubois; special assistant to President Obama and Executive Director of the Office of Faith Based and Neighborhood Partnerships. In attendance; we’ll have several special guests to show support of our efforts.
We are excited about the possibilities of the project and the changes it can have on our families and communities. We believe that restoring the nation’s faith in men and creating an honorable path to manhood are critical undertakings if we hope to create healthy, nurturing and loving environments for our mothers and children.
On behalf of Fathers Incorporated; we all look forward to hearing from you and receiving your support. For more information you can reach Ghana Fatherhood Initiative Foundatio(GFIF) via email at INFO@GHANAFATHERHOODINITIATIVE.ORG / samtackie@ghanafatherhoodinitiative.org or by phone at 0302913924 Feel free to contact me with any additional questions or for more information.
